Are SplashVillas villas listed on Airbnb too?
Sometimes, but not always — Airbnb has its own marketplace and many villas are exclusively on Booking/Vrbo or vice versa. We index across Booking, Vrbo, Hotels.com and Agoda; we don't currently include Airbnb in price comparison because they don't expose an affiliate API like the others.
Why doesn't SplashVillas compare prices with Airbnb?
Airbnb's affiliate program is closed (they don't have a public API). We compare across Booking, Vrbo, Hotels.com and Agoda because those four have open affiliate programs. The Airbnb listing for the same villa may exist independently — worth checking if you don't find it with us.
How does the host-rating story work without Airbnb?
We surface ratings and review counts from Booking/Vrbo/Hotels.com aggregated through the Travelpayouts API. They're the same listings, scored on the same partner platform. The two-way (host-rates-guest) part of Airbnb is unique to them — we don't replicate it.
Is Airbnb cheaper than what SplashVillas shows?
