Mostly yes for the high-end pool villa segment. Both index the same global supply of vacation rentals; we filter for pool quality, Vrbo filters for vacation-rental type. When you click "book" we route you to Vrbo (or another OTA if cheaper for the same property).
Why would I use SplashVillas instead of Vrbo directly?
Three reasons: (1) our pool-type filtering is more granular (infinity vs heated vs indoor), (2) we surface the best price across Vrbo + Booking + Hotels.com + Agoda, (3) our editorial — guides, articles, destination pages — helps with discovery before you know what you want.
Can I message the host through SplashVillas?
Not directly — we don't have a messaging layer. When you click through to Vrbo, you can message the host on their platform. We're a search and comparison layer, not a booking platform.
Does Vrbo have better cancellation policies than SplashVillas?
